Since the beginning, Duty of Care remains the primary concern for BostonAsapCoach when providing our chauffeured services. We have built our reputation by putting the safety and welfare of our customers and chauffeurs at the forefront of everything we do. As a global chauffeured transportation company operating in more the 600 cities worldwide, when a potential threat, such as COVID-19 virus presents itself, we have a responsibility to act.
As the COVID-19 virus quarantine lifted globally and business worldwide began to resume operations, while still the COVID-19 virus continues to impact an increasing number of individuals, communities and families across the world, we at BostonAsapCoach understands you may be anxious about returning to a level of normalcy and have questions and concerns. To address those concerns, we want to share with you what we are doing to ensure peace of mind for those who travel with us now or in the near future. We have taken the following steps to mitigate the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Enacted new emergency standards for vehicle cleanliness and disinfection protocols increased to multiple times per day, at a minimum between each passenger change.
Vehicles are cleaned with Vitula Biocide for 99.999% sanitization and disinfectant for use against SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, it is medical-grade hospital disinfectant.
In addition to Vitula Biocide spray, we are also using Sani Disinfectant Multi-Purpose Wipes, which are EPA registered disinfectants that have qualified under EPA’s emerging viral pathogens program for use against SARS-CoV-2. This includes using sanitizing wipes to disinfect all shared surfaces such as handles, power switches, door storage area, windows, cup holders, seatbelts, car seats including booster seats and trunk.
Secure travel begins before each and every trip utilizing a driver self-certification protocol, including daily temperature checks. Chauffeurs will certify they do not have COVID-19, are not experiencing any of the symptoms or otherwise feel ill in any way. Upon your request, chauffeurs can be COVID-19 rapid tested*.
As recommended by the CDC, we require all our chauffeurs to wear face masks, and disposable gloves when operating their vehicle. We recommend that passengers bring their own masks and gloves. We have also notified all our employees to stay at home if they believe they may be sick. If we discover at any time that one of our chauffeurs was ill while dealing with customers, we will notify customer immediately, require the chauffeur to stay home until proven no longer contagious and we will also quarantine the vehicle for 72 hours along with a thorough cleaning, which is triple the amount of time recommended by the CDC.
In addition, distributed updated training materials to chauffeurs and other employees highlighting CDC guidelines for controlling the spread of viruses.
You will be greeted by your chauffeur wearing a face mask. Your chauffeur will not initiate any physical contact and will attempt to remain 6 feet away while outside the vehicle. Your chauffeur will ask permission before handling bags and all bags that are touched will be sanitized before they are returned to you. Our chauffeurs also have been instructed to not shake hands with passengers.
To ensure maximum social distancing and minimize health risks in the vehicle, passengers and luggage will not be permitted in the front seat. We now have social distancing seating available to suit your preferences. For example, vehicles with more than one passenger may employ a zigzag pattern of seating.
We also ask any passengers who are showing any symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19 to not make a reservation with us until receiving a doctor’s permission to travel.
Chauffeurs have been thoroughly trained on the new service standards as well as how to safely clean and disinfect their vehicles. Supplied Sani Disinfectant Multi-Purpose Wipes , with instructions for chauffeurs to wipe down all shared surfaces after each trip. Refresher training will continue on an ongoing basis.
We’ve temporarily removed all courtesy items from our vehicles and recommend that passengers avoid unnecessarily touching buttons inside the vehicle. Paper products and water bottles have also been removed from the seating area.
In addition, stocked individual units of hand sanitizer in all of our vehicles for passengers to use and take with them.
Based on OSHA guidelines, we are recommending our customers allow the driver to lower some of the windows to increase airflow. If that is not reasonable, we have trained our chauffeurs not to use the “air re-circulation” button, rather to let fresh air in using the car vents.
At this time, front seat travelers are prohibited. All travelers must sit in the back seats, based on CDC recommendations.
